Utica College has recently launched a new online program for those seeking a masters degree in Forensic Accounting. Throughout completion of this program, students will learn how to detect, investigate and prevent financial crimes. Utica College has long been a leader in financial crime investigation, and students will have the opportunity to gain advanced investigation and auditing experience.
The program consists of 10 courses and 30 credits that can be completed over the course of two years. The curriculum was curated specially to New York State Education Department (NYSED) requirements for CPA licensure, while at the same time providing a forensic focus throughout the entire program, whether it be core courses or electives.
Internal auditing managers with fraud investigation skills earn a median salary of $104,762. The need for professionals with these skills continues to grow.
Following completion of the program, students will be academically prepared for CPA licensure, and can choose to pursue specialized CipherTrace Certified Examiner (CTCE) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certifications, if desired.
