What we need from you:

  • Your completed application with your personal statement
  • $50 application fee
  • Official transcript showing award of bachelor’s degree and official transcript from all graduate colleges attended. Must be received by 30 days after the start of classes.
  • Additional requirements as listed below

Graduate transfer credit:

A maximum of six graduate credits graded B or higher from a regionally accredited institution may be applied to a Utica University graduate program at the time of matriculation. The credits must have been completed within six years of the initial date of matriculation at Utica University and must be equivalent to the courses being replaced.   • Proof of English proficiency (if English is not your first language)
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 550 written, 213 computer-based, 79-80 internet-based;

    • Duolingo English Test (DET) score of 100.

Funding options for graduate students

There are two principal forms of financial assistance available to Graduate students at Utica: grants (often called scholarships) and loans.

Loans are usually guaranteed and available at low interest rates. Options include Direct Graduate PLUS loans.

Your application

When you apply for financial aid at Utica, your request is treated with fairness and confidentiality. A financial aid counselor from our Center for Student Success is available to help you take full advantage of your funding options.

    • Students admitted into the Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate program must:
      • hold a current unencumbered license in occupational therapy,
      • either be currently employed in, or have 2 years of experience in, Occupational Therapy,
      • have a masters’ degree in occupational therapy or related field with a GPA of 3.0 or above,
      • have earned at least 42 credit hours of graduate level work
      • provide recommendations from 2 graduate faculty members, and
      • submit with their admission application a copy of their master’s thesis/capstone project or a portfolio including 3 substantive written documents.
